Re: Co. Acting to all networks but mine

Any other thoughts as to the nature of the problem? I'm fresh out of ideas and I really want to avoid selling my gear but my 5100A and other gear are just paperweights at this point. Cant use my phone more than once or twice a month for various reasons.

Re: Co. Acting to all networks but mine

Thanks Andrew, that's exactly what I did (very sorry if I wasn't clear) - setting a static IP in the router for the MAC addresss.

Re: Co. Acting to all networks but mine

Thanks. That's always been my understanding of how the built-in AP works. I didn't know it would also carry on multimode communications up to several city blocks away for several hours. Of course my preference would be to use my home wifi network as the AP is not designed for this sort of use (thoug...

Re: Co. Acting to all networks but mine

No you're not being dense, that's exact what's happening. Has me scratching my head, too. I actually created a new supplicant file last night and tied both with a working image and with one that I had just burned and was in the process of configuring. Neither resolved the problem. I reset and flushe...

Re: Co. Acting to all networks but mine

By wifi, I mean my Verizon home network. Ethernet hard wire work fine. By AP I meant Pi-stars internal access point that kicks in if no other network is found. For some reason, pi-star is letting me use the AP not just for set up, but as a standalone full fledged network for dstar, dmr etc. IP 192.1...

Co. Acting to all networks but mine

I've seen this question asked in many flavors but couldn't find an answer that worked for me. My hotspot connects fine to my Android phone and, if Android is off, to the AP. But none of my hots will connect to my router. Router has been flushed, reset, and replaced by Verizon and I've tried every tr...

But the csv lists don't take into account laws, they're just lists of data to be called up by HMI....

Re: DMR2YSF dead in the water

I'm going on two months with this problem. We know it works with v4, but even after all of Andy's updates last month I'm still stuck. I really can't afford to buy a Fusion radio but will have to if I can't get this to work. Like others, xxx.16 was the last version where DMR2YSF worked for me (worked...

Re: Auto AP SSID

Thanks, Toshen. The hotspot is always next to my laptop, so no blockage. I wish I could use it because I cannot connect to my home network with any of my hotspots at present. New router, clean DNS cache. Pi-star shows the networks on the config page. I don't get it. That and my DMR2YSF. If I could so...
