touchscreen via pizero W

Looking to connect the Pi zero W with a 7" touchscreen with a MMDVM hat. First off, is this possible? Can I connect a pi zero W to use as a screen instead of the standard OLED3. Second is that I have it is a FLIRC case for Pi zero so maybe output via the HDMI and micro USB for the touchscreen m...

MMDVM YSF problem

Having a problem connecting the MMDVM to YSF with the Yaesu FT-70D radio. Setting the hotspot to YSF is fine. I get the green on the dashboard. Soon as I go into configuration it shows no frequency and nothing for it to connect to. BER is fine but as soon as I TX it goes red and shuts off. I have us...

Colour OLED screen

Looking at the Pi Hut they have a OLED Breakout Board - 16-bit Colour 1.27" screen. Full colour screen on display. Alas not sold but seem to have them on their site and at this moment out of stock. Could this work on a MMDVM board and make the hotspot stand out more than the standard OLED? Is i...

TX output

I have read that the MMDVM Pi output is 10mW at 100% output. I do not know if this is true. What I am thinking of doing is attaching different antennas to the Pi and seeing if range can be a factor in using my Anytone H/T while walking about my area. Antennas like the Diamond SRH805S antenna, along ...

DMR hotspot

So after a year of not using DMR I am back on. What problem I have is not the connection to the Pi star I have, but connecting to the network. The Pi picks up my TX and shows it on dashboard. This can be seen in the screen capture below. Also the next image shows the DMR setting. But it seems on the...

Need a reset

So I have moved to Scotland and now my call is 2M0WHN. This is now a sort of problem. Due to me not using my Pi star, I have not only forgotten the password and login for my Pi, but it also contains my old call. Now my own call is no problem. What is the problem is that I have tried all combinations...

DMR Linux question

Is it possible to setup and update a DMR radio using a Linux machine? I think that it is but having only used Windows before I am wondering if WINe or some other emulator would help as the files are .exe and not .tar.gz. So would emulation cause problems of which the radio and OS may be incompatible...

Re: No idea

Hmm. Seems Belana Etcher has not worked.

Any idea on how to get this sorted on a Linux Mint machine?

So got my Rpi zero W and hat. D/L the pi-star software and put in the card along with wpa_supplicant.conf and powered it on. Tried to get http://pi-star to come up. Nothing. Even tried pi-star.local and nothing. Followed instructions on youtube and still can not get it to work. All I get is a slow r...
