Question about next Pi-Star version

Any insight into when we might see a new Pi-Star build based on Bullseye (or is there some issue with that new kernel causing problems with this software)?

Andrew was pretty prompt in years past with new versions when new kernels dropped...

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Just an FYI - I ran a pistar-update on both my DMR ZUM and Fusion Jumbo today after reading about a potential kernel glitch from a friend & both units came back up 'ro' after a safe reboot.

Maybe it was something specific to Buster, and not Andy's software?

CPU load issues on Pi Zero

Guys, Not sure 100% if this is related to a specific mode, or to hardware. #1 - ZUMspot on Pi Zero set on DMR only (new one with 1.3" screen) - CPU load 0.95 / 0.51 / 0.23 at 35.8°C (this is with no heatsink). #2 - JumboSpot on Pi Zero with small screen set on YSF only (and not connected) - CPU...

Running update on 4.1.0 RC1 error

Guys,

Anyone else getting a GPG error when trying to run

Code: Select all

sudo pistar-update
that the Buster backports are unsigned?

It wasn't doing that on Thursday or Friday... :?:

I did do that as well, but for testing left it as 62060-62070 for now.

Re: I appear to have found a bug in 4.1.0 RC...

I'll triple-check later tonight, but I'm pretty sure I created that file in the 'root' location.

Update - you are correct! For whatever reason, the ipv4.fw file didn't save properly in the 'root' directory. Everything is kosher now!

I appear to have found a bug in 4.1.0 RC...

Guys, My local group runs a C-Bridge based network that has HBLink running on it & that allows non-Motorola repeaters & hotspots to connect to the network directly. I performed a fresh install on my ZUMspot hotspot today with the latest RC of 4.1.0, and I can no longer connect to the master....

Re: Nightly host file over-writes

Andy,

Thank you, sir!

I've been editing the one in

Code: Select all

/usr/local/etc/DMR_Hosts.txt
I went in via SSH & saw the ones you just mentioned...
