Possible bug when changing callsigns

My callsign has changed and I may have found a bug in Pi-Star 4.1.0 RC4 when used with dstarrepeater (DVAP). After changing my callsign in the config, I noticed a few issues and what it boiled down to is that my ipv4.fw file disappeared from /root. This did not occur on the MMDVM based instances tha...

Re: IPv6/4.1.0 RC 4/Wired Ethernet

IPv6 was disabled. I had not checked sysctl, but was reminded by this:

viewtopic.php?t=454

However, makes me wonder then why IPv6 works just fine with wireless wpa_supplicent when turned off via sysctl. Perhaps it gets turned on dynamically later?

IPv6/4.1.0 RC 4/Wired Ethernet

I'm having an odd issue on my Pi-Star 4.1.0 RC4 system which is using wired ethernet. I'm not getting a global IP address from my IPv6 DHCP server on boot. Add to backup/restore

Please add /root/DMR_Hosts.txt to the backup/restore process. I just upgraded from 4.0 RC4 to a 4.1 RC4 and this file was missed. I know that Andy also indicated that he doesn't backup /root/ipv4.fw on purpose (along with a few other things), but I'd like to request a reconsideration of this. It wou...

Re: Duplex Hotspot Anomalies (N5BOC)

After some experimentation, the thing that really seems to fix it is to set the DMR preamble duration on my Alinco DJ-MD5 (similar to Anytone 878) to 100. My duplex hotspot now seems to respond to all PTT requests properly. A friend tried it on a Motorola XPR where he was having issues and the setti...

Duplex Hotspot Anomalies (N5BOC)

I have an N5BOC duplex HAT running on a Pi Zero W. So do several local radio friends. We have all noticed the following issues in DMR mode: 1) Sometimes a PTT results in a "not found" message. Sometimes it takes several keyups to negotiate. 2) Sometimes a transmission gets completely thrown away and...

Re: TH-D74 not heard on XLX reflectors

I use a TH-D74 daily on my XLX reflector. No issues whatsoever under current or older firmware.

Re: Experimental XLX support

Andy: I'm not sure how you're coming to this conclusion. As an anecdotal test, I took the first XLX on your list, XLX001. I went to the XLX self registration list, available as a link on my XLX dashboard: http://xlx020.k2dls.net/index.php?show=reflectors XLX001 came back as being hosted at xlx001.di...
