Re: mmdvmcal fails (Zumspot HAT)

Yes I know. Typo in the msg but not when I actually did it!

It was a firmware issue and has been fixed.

mmdvmcal fails (Zumspot HAT)

I'm using a Zumspot HAT.

When starting pistar-mmdvm from bash, it terminates with an error on line 47.

If I start MMDVMCal directly, it terminates after complaining that it is unable to read the firmware after 6 attempts.

I'm running Pi-Star RC4 and MMDVM firmware 1.4.16.

Re: DPRS data

So "no", DStarMonitor fully complies to the D-STAR and DPRS specifications which does not allow for potential mangled packet and non-standard packet generation. "Yes", we (myself and others) are in talks with Kenwood to make their radio compatible with all D-STAR gateway DPRS implementations so a u...

Re: REF/XRF/DCS Listing - Source of Truth?

Re ur updates... Ive messaged those that can update ur addresses through the server. knowing they're busy with other commitments currently. Hopefully not too long. Andrew M1DNS, (Mod) Thank you. I suppose I'd have to get some input from G4KLX on the DNS based directory. If he actually implemented i...

Re: REF/XRF/DCS Listing - Source of Truth?

That is why I like the autoregistration idea ...you get there first, it is yours. It takes away any opportunity for favoritism, cliquishness, and other human weaknesses. This is where XLX gets it right. We should also not reuse the same number for different resource across DCS, REF, XRF, XLX or what...

Re: REF/XRF/DCS Listing - Source of Truth?

Dan I had a chat to Geoff, and he indicated he will request merge into latest ircddbgateway for the XLX linking feature, so hopefully it shows up in pistar in the near future ; https://github.com/F4FXL/OpenDV/tree/NewXLX Should that happen, this would be a useful feature. It could spell the end of ...

Re: REF/XRF/DCS Listing - Source of Truth?

You should be seeing an entry for ur reflector in the DCS host files Which should be different from the host IP in ur DExtra host file. As one is connecting to ur XLX and the other to ur X reflector. The entry in the distributed Pi-Star DCS file is not my XLX reflector and is again different from t...

Re: REF/XRF/DCS Listing - Source of Truth?

I had already tried both suggestions before they were suggested as obvious paths down this rabbit hole. I don't like the solution where I still have to edit /root hosts files. Easy enough for me, not great for some who might want to connect. There are lots of folks using Pi-Star who don't understand...

Re: REF/XRF/DCS Listing - Source of Truth?

So I'm running 4.0 RC3... I set xlxEnabled to 1 in ircddbgateway's config. I restarted the ircddbgateway service. How can I connect to XLX020A, for example? It is listed in /usr/local/etc/XLXHosts.txt. I tried via text entry from the dropdown on the admin console, but it has no effect. Nor does XLX0...
