Re: learning cron command

I haven't heard of using cron in this way , but yours (if it did work for this) would connect every minute from 7 to 8 pm as your syntax is malformed. 0 19 * * 4 pi-star "sudo pistar-link xrf002a" > /dev/null 2>&1 and this assumes MY syntax is correct as I am not sure about the quotes for the comman...

Re: color hex code for the dashboard???

OK more details - when you say didn't come oout right, it's like saying: I baked some cookies but they didn't come out right WHAT didn't come oout right? Did your color appear anywhere? did it not come out at all? All the values on the CSS page are for different aspects of the page(s). Mine I have t...

Re: Nextion not reading card?

I found on my NX3224K024_011 screen that it does not like Class 10 (High Speed) cards, The class 4 works fine (small number in circle on the SD Card - you may need a magnifier to see them -- a U1 and Class 10 are the same for speed, so stay with the Class 4 and it should read just fine. If not, you'...

RasPi3B+ wheree did the Beta go?

Greetings from Maine USA; A friend in Michigan US has acquired a RasberryPi 3B+ board. I remember seeing that the 3B+ needed a special Beta to work. I did not find this on the Beta side or on the Alternate mirror. Where did it go? I tried the 4.0.0-RC3 from 20-Jan-2019 but I set the modem and it won...

Re: SFTP to filesystem

W7EFS, I stress to readmy disclaimer, which says I am NOT a developer, guru expert, nor do I claim to be -- the OP says he can't upload a file, I can in WinSCP. Have I tried this on a Hotspot, NO, so tak what I say as you wish. Re-read what he asked then proovide an answer that will work for what th...

Re: How do you configure pi-star to leave a mode or modes

We need more , example or modes you want but most is done on the configuration page in the GUI DMR - this has changed and may not be possible any more without you remembering one thing YSF just don't select a start up room D-Star I think is the same, don't select a st...

Re: SFTP to filesystem

Early morning and no coffee but have you tried taking those 10 - 12 files, tg.zipping them (or just zip) and bring all in to /tmp folder then unzipping the folder and mv its contents where they need to go (if they all go into the same place you could probably mv the tg.zip first and then unzip it ri...

Re: Pi-star website

It depends on WHAT network, home networks should "see the name" pi-star but If I recall the hostname does NOT have the hyphen ( - ) in the name. Try http://pistar/ -- from here you click admin because you need the Username pi-star (here is where the hyphen comes in) and password of raspberry.

Re: SFTP to filesystem

Again read my sig disclaimer, but have you tried going into WinSCP as pi-star/raspbrry (or if you changed that too, your own password) seeing if you could upload the file, then go into putty and sudo chmod the file to match the others in the same directory. Or do you get a message that says permissi...
