Re: SFTP to filesystem

I use 5.13.6 of WinSCP and am in it right now, but I think the reason is : 1 - I logged in as pi-star raspberry (the usual for standard setups, if you changed yours - use yours instead) 2- /usr/local/bin folder and contents are owned by root, this being said, I am not sure the way Pi-Star is set in ...

Re: TGIF Lands in Pi-Star

I didn't mean to piss people off. I do like TGIF, but I used to be able to get it through NXDN. and IF any read my post as I wrote it, Andy DID say in post # 4 of that thread that it would not be added. I have friends who love it, but I do not want to be forced to choose one over the other. W1MSG, I...

Re: TGIF Lands in Pi-Star

Andy; did Robert from TGIF cry enough that you had to give in and add TGIF (see post 4 in here: https://forum.pistar.uk/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1067, where you said you would NOT be adding this to Pi-Star default. AND do you realize that if you put TGIF on Network 3 you wipe out the cross modes for eit...

Re: NXDN Registration

RadioID.net is the correct place: A quick search on google produces this page http://www.nxdninfo.com/ -- to which has a link to nxmanager.net -- which points to nxmanager.weebly.com -- which then has a notice saying that they have gone to radioid.net for the management of the ID database. What you ...

Re: Unable to get pi-star into DMR duplex/repeater mode

Take a look at your Duplex board. With the antennae on the left I believe the Bottom One is RX and Top One is TX. The board should be marked as to which is which.

Re: What is HS_Dual_Hat firmware at now?

Been reorganizing my home office and computer taken apart, (plus setting up this new one :-) ) so I haven't been on as of late. Thanks Toshen, I will try the regular as the board is from China (what should I expect when he still sells them for $39 US. I appreciate your responses, I will try as soon ...

Re: What is HS_Dual_Hat firmware at now?

What I can't tell is if I have the "regular" or 12MHz board, (not mine anyways , it's a friends) but his vendor insists the offset is negative 475 but no sound/no Xmit triggering with that offset, but the board is picking up YSF but no Yeasu to test with. If I turn off YSF and just have DMR on, the ...

What is HS_Dual_Hat firmware at now?

Usually I am the one helping newbies when I can, now I need a hand from some more experienced than me. A friend of mine sent me his MMDVM Dual Hat (and his RasPi3 it is running on) for me to see if I want one (he got it on fleabay, but I have had decent luck with my stuff there), now for my question...

Re: pi-star, raspberry pi... $140 gag store, mall junk?

OK, Jay, let's try this : 1 - could you tell us what PI (is it a Pi , a 3B+, the new Pi3A=, a PiZero) 2- Can you tell us the radio board (a Jumbo from china, a Zum board fro HRO, an MMDVM from the developers, a DV Board, Blue stack) This would be helpful in helping you. 3- What have you tried to do ...

Re: What causes my call sign to appear as if I was the transmitting station when I am not?

Simply put, you are using a DMR radio to talk on YSF, some of the crossovers do not send the real ID for those that are actually on YSF (directly) when your Pi-Star receives nothing, it puts your own call sign. This is normal (happens to me too). See I have no YSF repeaters where I live, so I won't ...
