Re: hardware button to shut down

OK fols - there is a 'glitch' somewhere: My Pi-Star is set correctly with the Remote (my Callsign is the only one that will shut the device down) and Shutdown uncommented, BUT a Private Call to the shutdown code of 9999996 gets sent and in 5 seconds or so "Secret Not Found" is heard on TG 9 (I think...

Re: Cant do pi-star link except on phone wifi

Somewhere in the sprint Hotspot menus is a selection similar to 'Connected Devices' If your Zumspot is connected to the Sprint device thiat is where you need to look, if it only giives a MAC address then something went wrong. Anyone else out there with a Sprint Hotspot that can give us a hand? Somet...

Re: Help!!

I would do this for you but the process would disconnect me from you. I have anwered this a few times (slightly different depending on post) but from scratch, I cannot find one to point you to, so here we go. If you have a desktop or laptop this will be a bit easier: search for a WiFi network called...

Re: Something is wrong...

Yep, not a public mode hotspot and you are using a different DMR ID from configuration. http://pi-star/ Configuration if asked --- pi-star // raspberry just under your modem selection is a field called Node Type field for what type of access to the hotspot you want --- Yourself Only (Private (my gue...

Re: DMR2YSF is it working ?

I understand your pain, which is WHY I use DMR2NXDN instead , here you prefix the NXDN TalkGroup with 7 e.g 765000 or 701200 (must be 5 digits).

You want to move around to different YSF rooms? you need a true YSF radio. Sorry, but that's the way it is ....right now anyways.

Re: DMR2YSF is it working ?

No, this is normal as DMR2YSF does not disconnect simply because you changed back to TG9, the DMR2YSF is on until you turn off the mode, and since you cannot change rooms on the fly, if you pick a busy room (like the CQ-UK YSF reflector your pi-star will always go back to it whenever there is activi...

Re: RPi Images Repository

I save everything I DL, I have Pi-Star_RPi_V3.4.11_17-Mar-2018.zip

PM an email address or I can put it up on my OWN file repo, for a few days so you can grab it. Some email providers limit attachment sizesZIP file is 558MB, maybe too large so let me know how you want it.

Re: NXDN Information

The way I read how the host files are read (and I will have to check this, my STAR is not on right now) is that you put the 'custom' stuff into /root/NXDNHOSTS.txt (to do this you must be root, I do not think using sudo nano /root/NXDNHOSTS.txt will work as this is the folder for the root user, so y...

Re: DMR2YSF is it working ?

OK, let's see if I can help explain stuff for you. When W1MSG made the videos (the DMRGateway configuration videos show TG 7 and how he was changing rooms - I do not know). As far as I have experienced here is how DMRGateway 'routes' the varios networks (up to 4 but a caveat -- later) Your Brandmeis...
