Re: pi-star and ipv6
Buster does support IPV6. The message "does not support IPV6" could mean that your ISP does not support it. I'd confirm that first, then dig deeper into your system: I suspect you're missing something in your configs. Search the logs for messages related to IPV6, DHCDCP, SYSCTL, etc. and s...

Re: pi-star and ipv6
Have you tried using "sudo" before your editting commands? e.g. "sudo nano /etc/sysctl.conf".

Re: orange pi mmdvm
There are no MMDVM hats for Orange Pi (26 pinouts) that I'm aware of. But RPi's are back in the channels at reasonable prices: an 8gb Pi4-B at $55; other sizes should be out soon, appropriately priced. Unobtaninium is not a viable excuse any more.

Re: MMDVM Hat for Pi-4B
I've seen that posted for a number of hat's but I take it with a grain of salt: basically, there's no explanation of what exactly prevents it from being used, let along tried, on Pi 4's. I've installed several such hats on Pi 4's and have not had any problems ... operationally. Installing/mounting t...

Re: Logging into Dashboard
What do you see in the dashboard when you hover over the "hostname" label in the Gateway Hardware Info section? Does it match what you're expecting? My bet is that the specific, hard-coded IP address you've been using has been reassigned to some other device because of a reset, reboot or o...

Re: Random restarting
Ah. The picture is clearer now. I've seen that seemingly "stray" message recently on one of my hotspots too: I ended up issuing a "sudo shutdown -c" to cancel the scheduled close but as I recall, I also had to do an actual reboot to get whatever flag it set to be cleared as the m...

Re: Random restarting
Two thoughts come to mind here: 1) power problems: voltage sag, something in or near your QTH, something that is on a schedule of some sort. (Pi-zero's are particularly sensitive to voltage variations - mine seem to boot on their own from time to time.) 2) you've got the pistar-remote option turned ...

Re: Changing WiFi AP on already-configured boot image
Thank YOU for letting us know: the one "solution" none of us thunk to pursue: Technology moves in mysterious ways. Thanks all for the help and advice. Finally tracked the writing to FAT partition problem down to a faulty uSD/SD card adaptor stuck in read only.

Re: Changing WiFi AP on already-configured boot image
Having changed ISP and router, is it possible to change the access point SID and PSK on an already-configured boot image? I have lost my backup file and have no other record of my PiStar config other than the bootable SD card. Ah ... if you have a bootable SD card, why not just boot it and then loo...
