Re: Pi-Star DMR Net Turns Red and Won't Connect to Private XLX Reflector
You can not create new XLX entries via the /root file, only update existing ones. In other words, your reflector needs to be public, registered.

Re: DMR Simplex 12.5KHz???
FWIW: My conclusion is that DMR Simplex does not use a 6.25KHz time slot but uses the full 12.5KHz and will receive any transmission on either TS1 or TS2 also does this mean a pi-star hotspot in simplex mode is also using 12.5KHz? For clarity here: the 6.25/12.5 KHz refers to the channel separation:...

Re: NO_PUBKEY Errors On update?
Looks like you've got a typo: it should be "ubuntu" not "unbuntu":
Executing: /tmp/apt-key-gpghome.M5hhHMjAvC/gpg.1.sh --keyserver hkp://keyserver.unbuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 0E98404D386FA1D9
gpg: keyserver receive failed: No name

Re: Bizzare issue with MMDVM Hat harmonics and 5GHz WiFi
My analysis was casual/circumstantial and did not involve special equipment or extensive testing via pings, etc. Rather, my phone wifi analyzer app gave me this, taken within 2 feet of main router: D3 -35 db D3-5G -49 db D4-2G -60 db D4-5G -70 db But going straight to the most effected component in ...

Re: Bizzare issue with MMDVM Hat harmonics and 5GHz WiFi
I've had/have a similar problem but came to it via a different angle: For a time, several of my hotspots would mysteriously drop their wifi connections but could not relate it to any specific activities or configurations on the hotspots themselves. But eventually, it became annoying and that's when ...

Re: Create a new pi-star flash SDcard
Your best bet is to use Etcher (balenaEtcher) to "clone" the drive from your working system. The clone can then function as both a backup and a replacement for the drive in your first system (with appropriate reconfiguration).

Re: MMDVM needs HDMI display connected
Pi's in general don't handle voltage sags/surges very well, particularly with high demand devices like monitors, particularly with earlier models of Pi's, so indiscriminate plugging/unplugging can be disruptive. And, out of the box, Pi-Star does not come with HDMI hot-plugged. You can try adding tha...

Re: RPi 4B for MMDVM hotspot...Am I nuts?
Probably the easiest route would be to clone the drive from your working system (using Pi-Imager) and insert it into your second system, bring it up and then reconfigure it so you don't duplicate hostname and frequencies and go from there. Trying to start over from scratch is/would be more involved/...
