In answer to my own question, entering DVAP into the search box part of the drop down box brings up DVAP (USB) and it works.

Maybe it is there but not listed in the drop down box?

I’m setting up a new card and cannot find the old DVAP dongle listed in the drop down modem list.

Has support for DVAP been dropped from the later versions of Pi-Star?

I too have this issue, in my case auto connect to REF079D says “connected to” on power up, but the status page shows not connected.

If I run an update, it then connects and works.

It appears that something is set following an update but not at powering up.

The problem appears to have "sorted itself". I initially tried a Shark Openspot2 and that didn't work either... I got the Pi-Star/MMDVM working with the server in Ireland and then after the post on here about there being a UK one QRV again, I swapped to that one and it is working fine. 73 ...
