All I did was to offer a solution that mitigates the problem while, as you say, "The pistar author seems to have a reason not to respond." Of course, it's totally up to you (and other hams who use hblink/other networks) whether or not to use it. As for me, I suppose I'll just have to live ...

I've found that issuing a standard 4000 disconnects me from DMR2YSF quite effectively.
YSF Network on the Pi-Star dashboard goes from whatever host I was connected to to indicating "not linked."
And my startup host is set to "none."

Works for me each and every time I've needed it to...on Brandmeister, anyway.
Would be nice to have similar functionality on other networks (like TGIF) eventually. But I'm sure that will be coming at some point.
