2nd Suggestion
Even when wlan is not working the pistar should boot in my opinion.
a friend of mine had rebooting problems. His SD Card was damaged and a new downloaded image on new sd card was the solution.

Dear OM,
did you generate a new wpa_supplicant.conf from pistar.uk of use an old one of your previous pistar system?
I would generate an new file and try that.

Hello Frank, Pistar will boot an old firmware. If there would be a Problem with the Firmware, pistar will boot, but you will geht no digital modes working. I had a wrong Firmware on a mmdvm modem with the wrong Firmware for a Dual modem, the pistar did boot. If you are not familiar with firmware upd...

It is good to distribute or spread experience .
I had Problems programing PD365 die to wrong cable. The usb cable from the Power Supplies did not work. After is used the correct programing cable everything was Fine.

Hello,
May you have to reconfigure pi-star die to Changes in the configuration format of newer pi-Star Version.
If your is working afterwards you should Check, in your Firmware on the mmdvm hat is up to date.
