Re: Hotel WiFi
I have no knowledge of Mac hardware. You can USB tether to an android / iphone then using its WiFi connect to and except the terms of service from the venue. You can do the same with a Linux or win laptop by USB tethering the pi to it. Ive had very little use time with a Mac or know if it supports t...

Re: ZumSpot with AllStar
Pistar was written around MMDVM at its heart. MMDVM was created for use with digital voice modes with no support for using analogue based systems.
There are a ga-zillion all-star images available on the net, too my knowledge non of them use MMDVM type hardware.

Re: Hotel WiFi
No, it's been mentioned many times before in the FB group. Currently there's no method built into pi-star to aid you joining a 'captive portal' You could usb tether too ur phone or laptop and use it to join the network, the pistar hotspot then gains access through the phone, laptop. Re: Pi-star website
There are a couple of things to ensure are enabled within the radio to work correctly with the pi-star image with DSTAR mode. All, or some of these following recommendations could help with pi-star not 'seeing' ur DStar RF transmissions. Set the radio to DUPLEX mode (- or + it does not matter) Set t...

Re: Can't get radio to work with JumboSpot hot spot.
The only time hotspots need a different ID is if you run more than one.. IE: My home hotspot is myid01, and my mobile that I take to work is myid02.. and my radios use myid (no ssid) Where do you change the id's On the pistar config page. Add an SSID to ur ID for each of the hotspots / installation...

Re: connect two DVAPS (UHF,VHF) to one pi-star?
Hi I was wondering if it is possible to connect two DVAPS to a single pi-star, one VHF and one UHF to create a hotspot with a "B and C" module? Currently I am running both on two separate raspberry pis. Many thanks Andrew VE6EN just kicking around the forum today and found ur post... a li...

Re: XLX Reflectors
XLX reflector's themselves do not have their own protocol. Unlike ref reflector's that use DPlus, XRF reflectors that use DExtra or DCS reflectors that use, well DCS an XLX reflector can use any of the three protocols listed here. It's simply dependant of what hosts.txt file the reflectors IP addres...

Re: Decisions, Decisions
A little late in responding, but.. Connecting the bluestacks / dvmega via the usb lead would have the pi /pi-star become the controller negating your mobile phone as it would not be used. Unless of course you decide to use it to view the pistar dashboard. Anyways as said prob. too late a reply and I...

Re: Decisions, Decisions
You could use the hardware you already have with a pi3 or a pi zeroW connecting ur bluestacks / dvmega to the pi using the usb lead. Or of course running just the dvmega ontop of the Pi's gpio.

Re: WiFi Priority Setting?
Scroll down to the panel where you add new WiFi connections and simply move the connections around as they're listed top most is the highest priority, bottom most the least.
