Re: DMR Configuration

Choosing a DMR master 'straight' (as in your example of United_States_3102) allows only Brandmeister talkgroups. Choosing DMR Gateway has several more settings because the Gateway allows more flexibility - e.g. DMR+, XLX, cross modes with YSF OR (not and) NDXN (NexEdge). If you looked below the DMR ...

Re: Running 2 PI-Stars at home

Easiest way is to just change the hostname of the Pi-Star (hostname on configuration page [defaults is pi-star]) I have two hotspots, (deskstar and mobilestar) -- Deskstar sits on my desk and Mobilestar is in my car, but for updating and such, I bring it inside. Here in USA our repeater offsets are ...

Re: DMR2YSF CANT TRANSMIT

Glad you got this working. I believe the PiStar list has all FCS and YSF rooms, what it does not have is the 'true' wires X as that is the proprietary part but the lsit on the Pi-Star websit has many to choose from. If using DMRGateway then FCS rooms start off with 7100+3 digit number (7 total digit...

Re: DMR2YSF CANT TRANSMIT

OP, you don't give many details. It's akin to going to a mechanic and saying I turn my key in my car and it don't run. As with a car, we need more. Version of Pi-Star (Me, I run 4-RC5) Are you trying to use straight DMR2YSF or the DMR Gateway - the talkgroups are different ARCX (FCS290 can be either...

Re: Dmr2ysf disconnect?

I noticed that too, there is no Disconnect code for DMR2YSF. But if you look in the list of FCS repeaters, you know, like FCS290 or FCS286 in the top of that is FCS100 (DMR2YSF [through DMR Gateway] ) is 7100100 FCS room 100 just says Repeater and no other descriptor. I take this to be just the loac...

Those are probably all the Kerchunkers. Now that 310 is not static, I bet you'll see a lot more garbage like this.

Re: add pistar

Easier, maybe. But remember Pi-Star is always in a Read Only state - that may cause all his other stuff to fail.

with the price of a RasPi0w or a RasPi3+ if you want a full size, why not just buy a second Pi for the Pi-Star?

Re: HTTP port change

What does the port number have to do with running several devices? Change the hostname. (defaults to pi-star [or pistar on some older installs]) just change this name, apply changes and reboot. e.g. I run two http://deskstar/ and http://mobilestar/ a port number would do no good anyways because it's...

Re: Noob trying MMDVM Hotspot and no Pi-star.local connect

Computer? if Windows pi-star.local will not work -- try http://pi-star/ if nothing else find the IP of the Pi-Star and use it instead. If you are using a Cell the only way mine works is the IP as the Cell hotspot doesn't do nameserver stuff like a home network would. If you see pi-star-setup in the ...

Re: Firmware update problem

If you get that error on both board - it's not the firmware nut the board itself (mostly) "Failed to Init Device" does not mean wrong firmware (even though on a Zumboard it would be. Please try what is suggested here several time On the WHITE Zumspot Zumboard use: sudo pistar-zumspotflash ...
