Re: Libre help needed
Presuming the board is fully hardware compatible with the R-Pi, the ONLY PiStar releases will be a version of RaspiOS (customized Debian) with the PiStar modules added. Ubuntu would be a stand-alone OS and does not support PiStar. So questions about Ubuntu will need to be taken to either the board m...

Re: Call sign keeps repeating
I have tried to use the ysf2dmr before but never could get it to connect. Maybe because I don't have a DMR radio and was using my Yaesu FT-70D. Still learning about the system. Thanks for the answer. Not relevant to your actual problem but... The purpose of ysf2dmr mode is specifically meant for fo...

Re: zum elite 3.5-ports and whistles
It isn't quite clear where you see these ports. Based upon Zum's website, the elite 3.5 is a complete package with LCD and R-Pi 4. Presuming your mystery ports are on the R-Pi 4, then looking up R-Pi 4 documentation would be the proper step. FYI: The R-Pi 4 has TWO (mini) HDMI (video) ports between ...

Re: Radio not receiving hotspot
Okay... with that information I would blame the RF-board. The R-Pi is just passing the digital packets to the RF board for transmission. The only point where I can see the R-Pi being involved is if the serial port (or whatever GPIO) it uses to pass the data is faulty -- but that is unlikely as the R...

Re: PI-Star Dasboard stops logging calls - Hangtimes not working!?!?
That's a lot of static talk groups, and if all you are doing is /listening/ I'd expect Brandmeister to send /any/ traffic on any of them -- no hold (essentually behaving as a carrier-operated scanner, going to the next "channel" when a signal drops on whatever was active). When you transmi...

Re: Pistar, alternatives to Rasperry Pi boards?
Clarification: RISC-V architecture. The ARM itself is a RISC archtecture (Acorn RISC Machine, back when Acorn wanted their own processor for desktop computers; Acorn is gone, but the processor design house lives on)

Re: Radio not receiving hotspot
Update. I have the same exact issues with Fusion mode. I have a feeling it's an issue with the pi-star TX mode somehow. Probly going to try a factory reset next. If that fails I'll see if I can return the unit for another one. The TX data sounds are the exact same in Fusion and DMR mode so I know t...

Re: PI-Star Dasboard stops logging calls - Hangtimes not working!?!?
I don't know what configuration you have, nor what servers you have configured... Hang time controls how long Pi-Star hangs onto the last active MODE (D-Star/DMR/etc.) before going to a general "listen for all enabled modes" and transitioning to the one that has traffic. It does not contro...

Re: Are there a way to keep the TG up for always RX?
If Brandmeister, and you are shown as a hotspot, not repeater, on their system... Use the interface (did you enable it?) OR BM website to define the talk group as STATIC. Though in the past, the last /hotspot/ activated talk group used to be put into an "auto static" mode -- it would stay ...
