Re: Downlink Activate Received Message
Odd thing (another odd thing!) is that I had 2 local guys test using their DMR radios and they both show up on the Pi-Star dashboard! Well then that pretty much confirms its your radio. I'd create a new channel from scratch and test. Maybe you have some weird setting enabled when you shouldn't. The...

Re: Downlink Activate Received Message
I do not even show up on the dashboard for this repeater! - it's as if I am not "approved" to use it. I believe there is an approved user list somewhere, may be that's the first place to look? Is it set to public access? If it is set to private access only the matching DMR ID will be acce...

Re: Downlink Activate Received Message
M: 2021-05-29 15:08:49.564 Downlink Activate received from VA3UV My HT (TYT MD-380) LED flashes red/green and then I get a beep back. I suspect we'd need to see the DMR configuration in the Pi-Star admin page, AND the channel configurations in the radio code plug. I have 2 repeaters, both running P...

Downlink Activate Received Message
Hi Folks: Now that I have my Repeater Builder STM-DVM v3 board running, I have YSF, D-STAR, and P25 working. I am unable to get it to acknowledge my DMR transmissions. I see this in the MMDVM log file: M: 2021-05-29 15:08:49.564 Downlink Activate received from VA3UV My HT (TYT MD-380) LED flashes re...

Re: MMDVM Not decoding repeater audio
Just to close this thread...
I was in touch with Scott, N3XCC, of Repeater Builder. The best course of action was for me to head back to site, jumper JP1 on the MMDVM board, power-up and flash new firmware.
Voila - it's alive!!
Cheers,
Ramesh, VA3UV, WA3UV, G4PNQ

Re: MMDVM Not decoding repeater audio
OK, I think we might have a clue... I restored from back-up; the repeater came back to life... started hearing D-STAR audio :) BUT only for a couple of minutes and then zip - no TX audio and the Pi-Star dashboard (last heard) callsign list was frozen, meaning it did not keep up with traffic off a re...

Re: MMDVM Not decoding repeater audio
Adding to the mystery.... I see traffic on the loopback adapter on ports 20010 and 20011 ... but still nothing on the Pi-Star dashboard! root@va3pmo(ro):pi-star# tcpdump -i lo port 20010 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on lo, link-type EN10MB (Eth...

Re: MMDVM Not decoding repeater audio
The issue is with the digital side - the MMDVM board is not decoding any digital audio (D-STAR / YSF / DMR). I didn't think any MMDVM board "decodes" digital audio; they don't contain AMBE CODECs -- they do take the data stream and convert from tones to binary and package the binary for n...

Re: MMDVM Not decoding repeater audio
KE7FNS -> I did find your post about the use of ethtool and the few lines to add in /etc/rc.local I also turned 'Auto AP' off in the Configuration menu. My interfaces now look like this: 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:0...
