Re: Set up MMDVM to connect to Home wifi or iPhone
Hi Gene: Took my Pi zero hotspot out with me earlier today.... (without powering it down as I left home. It is powered off a USB battery bank). My iPhone has the 'personal hotspot' enabled (and it has been configured in wpa_supplicant.conf, using the Pi-Star GUI, etc...). After driving for some 15 m...

Re: Set up MMDVM to connect to Home wifi or iPhone
Hi Gene:
Thanks for your reply. I have now changed my wpa_supplicant.conf file placing my iPhone at the top (slot 0, Priority 100) and my iPhone at slot 1, Priority 99).
Will report back following my next trip out!
Cheers,
Ramesh.

On my 3b+ it looks like this: ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev update_config=1 ap_scan=1 fast_reauth=1 country=JP network={ ssid="N9MXQ" psk="password" id_str="0" priority=100 } network={ ssid="HamShack5" psk="password" id_str...

Re: Unable to Link Via Web Interface
Solved it!! The default remote password needed to be changed in the D-STAR section under the 'Configuration' tab (I had previously changed the password in the /etc/ircddbgateway file, along with the port #). Clearly changing the parameters in the /etc/ircddbgateway file alone were not 'read' by the ...

Re: Unable to Link Via Web Interface
Hi Again... Suspecting that the dashboard may be still trying to communicate on port 10022, I used tcpdump to monitor port 10022: pi-star@va3pmo(rw):pi-star$ sudo tcpdump -i lo udp port 10022 -vv -x tcpdump: listening on lo, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 262144 bytes 13:35:43.312067 IP (...

Re: Unable to Link Via Web Interface
Hi Andrew and All: I am having this same problem... I changed the default ircddbgateway remote port from 10022 to something else. I have opened up that port in my firewall (iptables) and I can remote in using the remote app' on my phone and link / unlink, etc. So I know that my firewall settings are...

Re: Ability to turn off ircddbgateway
Hi Dan:
I had to power recycle my Pi and found that the new iptables rules had to be re-applied.
iptables-save did not seem to 'save' them. Where in the Pi-Star distro' are the iptables saved and restored on boot-up?
Thanks!
Ramesh.

Re: Ability to turn off ircddbgateway
Hi Guys:
Solved it!!!
With the tip about the iptables change... I had to edit the ircddbgateway config on Pi #1 to listen on 192.168.1.136 rather than 127.0.0.1
Finally, got two modules working!
Thank you!
Ramesh.
