No. should be in the 3.4.17 release as well. Presuming you have updated using the dashboard link, or Pistar- update it should pull down as part of the update as Pistar remote was introduce several vers. back. Thanks Kevin for the information. I did not know about the options for WiFi in the Expert menu. That helps me a lot to understand how it all works.
I am embarrassed to say that when I went into that menu item, I noticed a typo in the PassPhrase. Once I corrected that - viola - everything works.

So as part of my debugging exercise, I took my Raspberry Pi Zero and configured it with the SSID and Passcode for the WiFi hotspot and it connects without issue. So it looks like it's only my Raspberry Pi 2b with a Raspberry Pi Wi-Fi dongle and a DVAP that is not connecting to the WiFi hotspot. Agai...
