What MMDVM board are you using? I'm not sure they all use the same GPIO pins for OLED so you may have to move the shim. The shim is designed for ZUM boards.
At least I remember a write-up where the OLED was attached to the GPIO starting with the 6th pin from the end, outside row.

Source for .96 OLED Screen
Anyone have a source for the .96 OLED screen with attached GPIO shim like HRO used to sell?

Re: .96 OLED and C4 cases
The 1.3 add-on only works with the ZRZ-1 case, not the ZRZ-1S (which according to the description already has room for the .96 screen).

Re: .96 OLED and C4 cases
When I asked C4 about this they said: "the OLED screen is soldered directly to the board and because of the that the mounting holes are not needed for attachment." which is impossible. The .96 OLED I got has pins that fit the "port" on the MMDVM board. Did you add wires to it? Wh...

.96 OLED and C4 cases
Planning to use .96 OLED screens on MMDVM boards from N5BOC in JRZ-1s and DRZ-1S cases from C4LABS.
How are the screens physically mounted? Double-sided tape onto MMDVM board?

Operating voltage
The serial port (pins) on my ZUMspot-RPi board supply 3v. Specs say the Nexium requires 5v.
Yet people claim to be attaching Nexium screens to this port (usually after soldering on pins).
Is the Nexium screen capable of running on 3v as well as 5v?
