OK. I finally got the pistar updated to 4.1.3 and found the other thread on RadioID vs QRZ with proposed changes. SO the hotspot is running again, but not how I want it. Thank you Brian, I have read that link and its info in the past trying to get things to work. The only alternate route seems possibly to be to use an OpenSpot 3 with built in transcode capability. That, simply isn't going to happen here as if the info for use is as bad as it is for using dstar alone...

It tries to do something but doesn't connect with the radio saying linking to XLX922E afterwards. if you leave it or switch to 'Use Reflector' on the radio then every few moments the radio says 'linking to XLX922E'.... so feinitly this does not work. I have selected XLX922 E from within the Pi-Star...
