Re: Patch for upnp syntax

Thanks Andy, I see you've made the variable names a bit more user friendly. One question, are all the $ signs in the daemon commands needed, you seem to have included some of them in the variable definitions. If DAEMON is an environment variable, the $ tells the shell to expand the value. pi-star@p...

My HT (TYT MD-380) LED flashes red/green and then I get a beep back.
I suspect we'd need to see the DMR configuration in the Pi-Star admin page, AND the channel configurations in the radio code plug.

Re: No time announcement...

Out here its quite common to run multiple repeater sites on different mountains using the same callsign, but I guess with DStar you can't/shouldn't. If you are talking FM analog repeaters... My local repeater has a number of remotes, but they all feed (via some scheme) to the master repeater where ...

Re: No time announcement...

Just a note: the convention is that the node ID (on repeaters, at least) is tied to the frequency band... B indicates 70cm, C indicates 2m, and A is used for 23cm. D is used for digital /data/ nodes. Hotspot probably doesn't matter unless one is running a spot for each band, or has opened it up to p...

Re: MMDVM Not decoding repeater audio

The issue is with the digital side - the MMDVM board is not decoding any digital audio (D-STAR / YSF / DMR). I didn't think any MMDVM board "decodes" digital audio; they don't contain AMBE CODECs -- they do take the data stream and convert from tones to binary and package the binary for n...

Re: Anyone any ideas please?

Log files! So far the description of your problem comes across as "It was running when I went to bed, and it wasn't running when I got up". There is nothing usable for diagnostic purposes... Even "last boot time" could signal something if it has a time between the "went to b...

Re: Lost password

Haven't there been other posts to the gist that -- if one has made changes using the Expert page, one should no longer make any changes using the Basic page... The basic page does not save all custom settings but reverts them to defaults.

Re: A Newbie seeking advice

The MMDVM Pi Hat is where the radio stuff gets implemented. It includes a chip which implements the 4FSK digital modulation used by DMR, as well as the modulation systems of other digital modes. It can dynamically switch between modes as well. Possible clarification: the hats do NOT implement the A...

Re: Anyone any ideas please?

Insufficient information... D-STAR, DMR, YSF, other? Brandmeister, for example, is (or has) phased out "reflectors" since every reflector was mapped to a regular talk-group. And the description is confusing -- I can't really tell what is connected where and how said connection is made. You...
