Thanks, that does help. I was over-thinking it. Once I let it sink in a bit, I can pretty reliably get things connected now. Glad I could help a bit. One question for the thread - does this work best if I just leave the Pi-Star hot spot in YSF mode alone, or can it be multi-tasked with DMR and YSF ...

Jeff, I used SSID ATTPkZSCTA with my Password to enter Wi Fi Network. I thought the SSID is the Wi Fi Network shown on all my Wi Fi devices. Iphone.Ipad and Windows Laptop. Where did you plug in the fan?
My Nextion came with a little board that is USB on one end and +5v/Ground on the other. I used that board to power the fan.

sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_hat for the firmeare update.

To update the pi-star software, go to Configuration and click on "Update".

You might want to try moving the TXOffset around a little, my guess is that as the board heats up, the frequency is shifting. Try steps of 50 at a time, start at -200 and work up to +200 and see if its any better/worse at each. I picked up one of these little 5v fans and mounted it where it blows a...
