Best way to delay WiFi login?
I have a system where I apply power to P-Star (running on a Pi 3) and a cellular hotspot at the same time. The problem is that the OS attempts to set up a WiFi connection before the cellular hotspot is fully online and thus ends up in an unconnected state (unless separately power-cycled again after ...

Interfacing Repeater Builder STM32-DVM with Motorola GM300 for DMR
I'm trying to get a wideband GM300 working with a Repeater Builder STM32-DVM v3 on DMR and am having one perplexing problem. I am using the flat audio in and discriminator out connections on the 16-pin connector and am having no problems with transmit, but am seeing a high BER on receive. I have the...

Re: OLED display issue when CW ID is enabled
Nevermind, found the solution. While the CW ID function becomes operational as soon as it is selected in MMDVM config, the problem described above will occur until the system is restarted . After reboot OLED display operation is normal (well, it still displays 'CW TX' durng an ID, but after the ID c...

OLED display issue when CW ID is enabled
I have a ZUMspot on a Pi Zero (only mode used is DMR) and if I enable CW ID then at the first instance of an ID the OLED display will indicate 'CW TX' in block letters during the ID and then 'idle' continuously until the next ID (meaning that the normal display of connected TG, station information, ...

Re: Pi-Star HTTP interface becomes unreachable with '504 Gateway Time-out'
I just upgraded to 4.1.0 and no problems here either, other than the fact that the issue described in the OP is still present, even with the completely fresh install.

Re: How does a DMR hotspot or repeater station legally ID?
Out-of-band (since DMR does not transit call signs) station ID is a legal concern in the US, perhaps only theoretical for a 10 mw hotspot but would be a matter to consider for a repeater or base station with significant ERP. I have found MMDVM documentation on an CW ID option, just curious what the ...

How does a DMR hotspot or repeater station legally ID?
Since DMR does not support an amateur radio callsign ID within the datastream how does a DMR station legally ID? I believe that even a 10 mw output still requires ID? And while the issue could perhaps be overlooked for a very low power device what would one do if you wanted to employ a real radio an...

Is the Pi Zero capable (in terms of memory and processing power) of supporting 4.1x or would it be advisable to stay with 3.14?

Re: Pi-Star HTTP interface becomes unreachable with '504 Gateway Time-out'
Note that I'm still on v3.14, not really interested in 4.x until it is out of beta. I gather that what I'm experiencing is unusual. Would running the modem hat on a more powerful processor (i.e. Pi3 vs Pi Zero) result in more reliable operation under load? From what I can tell by looking at stats th...

Re: Pi-Star HTTP interface becomes unreachable with '504 Gateway Time-out'
Before the problem arises I see a few (from one to four at any given time) php scripts running, and then after the problem arises I see none so yes, the scripts (or whatever process generates them) crashing is apparently the problem. I didn't notice any unusually high CPU utilization associated with...
