Re: MMDVM and Legal ID intervals

Depending on the radio you are using, you can most likely implement what you are after from the radio. Pretty much all commercial radios provide a means to add an ID timer (Tait 80xx radio's have this) I have my own system running here on a Tait TM8110 and I've setup a 10 minute CW ID and that's don...

Re: Does Pi-Star pass the P25 packet unaltered?

If you pop up on 10700 and call for VK2ERG, he's been working on a fork of mmdvm that doesn't strip out the non voice packets. I'm not sure if he has made his modifications public available (yet) but I'm sure that if you ask him for the code he'll share it with you. All you need to do is compile it ...

Re: Accessing XLX Cross Mode Reflectors - not working

XLX reflectors use the DCS protocol but an alias of XLX is in place to address them as if they were using their own method of connection. So if you manually enter say XLX505DL this would connect you to my XLX505 reflector on module D you then switch back to CQCQCQ to converse through it. The problem...

Re: PiStar dashboard continues to show I'm transmitting, when I'm definietly not

Sometimes the mmdvm log chokes and the delay causes the page to consume CPU, my guess is that the processor is labouring briefly and Apache hasn't refreshed. Also sometimes if there's multiple logs they are all being processed. Try to clear the log files from /var/log/pistar and reboot, see if it ha...

Re: NXDN Radio & Dual Hats

What's the firmware version of the devices? If they are on anything prior to 1.3x then they won't have nxdn capabilities. Make sure that they are using the latest possible firmware update.

Re: Automatic Callsign Announcement

Do you have automatic position setup to beacon every X minutes on your dstar radio? Because every time you beacon and have the voice announcing active on your radio it's going to announce your callsign. Unless you are mobile and want to specifically share your position, however having it enabled as ...

Re: MMDVMHost update

Sounds like you have a choice to make... 1. Accept it for what it is and focus your energy on other things! 2. Abandon using pistar and compile the relevant pieces of software yourself and update it as frequently as you please! So unless you have a direct contrabution or financial interest in the pr...

Oh how embarrassing! I didn't even look at the JP1 status! But I think that you are right! Silly me [emoji13]

Re: Jumbospot - can't update/downgrade firmware

Looks like I too have a duplex board that has been locked. A little bit sneaky of them (might not be intentional) but not a big problem to rectify. Image

Re: Band 435-438mhz

Thanks VK7HSE! I needed to solder theJP1 jumper and the trick worked! Thanks a lot! Let's say, anyhow, that I feel comfortable enough in this stuff since I use linux since 1998 as main operative system =) Just I didn't know about this at all! Cheers and '73! Glad you got it sorted [emoji106] Sent f...
