Re: Nextion screen layout for dual time slot with last heard ID and last heard talk group

Does that include the underlying Raspbian? I am by no means an expert! I have always heard Linux does not like having the power cord yanked and not properly shutting down can cause corrupted files. I understand from your message that the pi-star software may not be altered due to a power yank shutd...

Model 8 - Observed Issues

Hello, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread to collect everyone's list of open issues with the Model 8 screen. I'm using the Simplex 2.4 Globe version. I'm fairly certain the options in the mmdvmhost file are set correctly. I've been looking at /var/log/messages with log level 2 enabl...

Re: Be careful of different Displays and Nextion Screens

Where is the "Preinitialization Events" option? I'm looking through the various settings in the Nextion Editor and can't find it. Any time I upload the HMI file, I'm able to select 115,200 and I don't see any errors from the Nextion Editor software. Would it be safe to assume the display i...

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Glad to know that something was identified. I installed the image on several other SD cards to see if it was hardware related, configuration related (even rebuilt the config from scratch), or something else. It happens consistently, so I'm glad that it's not just me. :-)

Re: Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

That did the trick. I ran 'lsof' to see if I could identify what was causing the issue but there were so many files held open.

And I had tremendous uptime!!! I was hoping to avoid the reboot... :-D

Thanks!

Unable to Switch Back to 'rpi-ro'

Hello!

I'm not quite sure what happened but at some point my Pi-Star got stuck in read/write mode (rpi-rw). Any time I go to the command-line to switch it back to read-only (rpi-ro), I get a message that states:

mount: / is busy

Any thoughts on how to debug this?
