Re: Can not link to reflectors with Verizon Jetpack
One of the settings in the jetpack is to only allow certain protocols and ports to access the internet. It's designed to save your dataplan by only allowing the services you want to allow to access the internet over the jetpack. You might need to turn off the portfiltering, or better yet go in and e...

Re: dpns.dutch-star.eu - why calling from pistar
I know why....but don't know WHY. When the ircddbgateway comes up is the DplusAuthenticator thread attempts to authenticate to auth.dstargateway.org and dpns.dutch-star.eu. (Callsign servers?). It succeeds to contact auth.dstargateway.org on tcp port 20001. At least for me It fails to contact dpns.d...

Re: Restart dash service
Does anyone know what the service or process is that runs the dashboard? And how can you restart it on it's own without rebooting the entire system? Another ham was asking me this on Colorado HD (BM TG 31088) and I did not know the answer. He has experienced the issue where the dashboard stops logg...

Re: mmdvm's connect ok and after a period of days or hours ignore pi-star.local access
I seriously doubt that anyone is using a wifi connection at that far of a distance away from their router where a lower power would come into play and again it doesn't explain his timeout issue. I blame my math on my cold medicine. As looked at the dbm number and my brain must of died as not sure w...

Re: mmdvm's connect ok and after a period of days or hours ignore pi-star.local access
I don't think that setting is related or would make any difference. It also doesn't explain why everything worked fine on his older model ASUS router. Also the RPi Zero W doesn't have 5 Ghz support so the major 5 Ghz differences you mentioned in the other thread are never involved. If it was a chan...

Re: mmdvm's connect ok and after a period of days or hours ignore pi-star.local access
Oh, yeah...one more thing... I do have wifi Smart Connect disabled on my router. tony w9mt Ok, this is just yet another shot in the dark. As opened an issue about this because of 5ghz issues and Andy has been working on fixing it the last few days but most people don't have the fix or even know abo...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue
So I think there might be a race condition going on at boot. As on the 4.1 Pi-star images there are conflicting wpa_supplicants starting up. Saw this when I went back to a new burn of the stock 4.1 RC and went to start updating it. When you aren't connected to an AP, and Pistar is running in AP mode...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue
I'm sorry but the problem continues. Now I needed three ignitions to The rp3 A + starts working with Wi-Fi. Once it starts well, it works perfectly and The wifi is stable. As I am running a version of the Pi-Star image that is customized quite a bit as it also runs my RTL-SDR (SDR Radio receiver to...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue
I expressed my thoughts on that a while ago, Andy replied that he did it on purpose to scan for every possible network. https://forum.pistar.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1915&hilit=country%3Dus&start=10#p8879 I find it very annoying that it constantly forces JP no matter what setting you put ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3A+ WiFi issue
I think there are multiple issues going on. But never narrowed it down as my stuff is working now but don't know which specific thing I did that fixed my problems. But I know these are two of the bigger things I did. #1 3A+ and Pi Zero running out of memory Configuring the locales using dpkg, etc on...
