Re: DMR2YSF connecting to wrong room

This problem seems to have gotten worse overnight (12/12/21). Won't stay connected to FCS reflectors and when keying it changes the reflector # by greater than the 5 (or other increments by FCS range). Was there an update to pi-star overnight? Last update was some days ago, possibly over a week in ...

Re: Zum Radio modem wont upgrade on Pistar V4.1.5 or 1.6

OK, my mistake, I don't think I can offer any advice given your combination of hardware that I am not familiar with.

I have 4.1.16 here but have not done a modem flash with this version, it's possible that something has changed but I am not aware of anything obvious.

Re: Zum Radio modem wont upgrade on Pistar V4.1.5 or 1.6

By the look of it you have firmware that includes FM mode, which I think is not compatible with the current Pi-Star and also needs an MMDVM board with a lot more CPU power than the Zum v1.o radio has. I think you need to look at the command for flashing from Pi-Star and use the correct argument for ...

Re: Hytera PD705LT doesnt hear my Pistar Hotspot

What talkgroups are you using? Sounds like the hotspot is transmitting a TG that isn't in the Receive Group on the Hytera but to be sure we need to know a bit more about the setup.

Re: Recent updates, changes active yet or?

Thanks for that Andy, I was mostly referring to the DGID thing as so many requests appear for it, but I was trying to be discreet in the way I posed the question.

I'm sure it will all appear in good time.

Re: Updating OS from Buster to Bullseye

I decided to update my non-Pi-Star Pi 4 to RaspiOS Bullseye yesterday. It was surprisingly easy after a couple of gotchas (SSH is disabled by default) and for some reason a need to reduce the wpa_supplicant.conf contents to the minimum. After I installed the image and got it connected to WiFi an ap...

Re: Updating OS from Buster to Bullseye

So for anyone who is thinking about trying to upgrade on their own, make a good config backup and be ready to trash your system. Lets just say for anyone who is even thinking about trying to upgrade on their own, unless they have years of experience with Linux they shouldn't even be attempting it, ...

Re: Narrow Band / Wideband

let me know if you guys figure out how to switch from the Pi-star side from wide to narrow... The ability to switch isn't possible currently and I'm not sure which it is currently using. The ADF7021 data sheet should provide the answer. POCSAG uses FSK with +/- 4.5kHz shift on the carrier centre fr...

MMDVM_HS firmware states POCSAG 1200

I hadn't looked, but it makes sense, 1200bps was in use at least 35 years ago when I worked on pagers.
