Re: Configuration Update appears to be stuck?
The Pi-Star image for 4.1.4 is from February, there have been quite a few updates since then including changes as recent as today. How did you perform the update? It's probably best to use SSH access from the configuration->expert menu, then login with the normal user and password and type pistar-up...

Re: A bit broken since today's update.
Out of interest Andy, do these people have a justifiable reason for staying on such an old unreleased version? Seems like some gentle shepherding towards the door marked 4.1.4 is in order if they're just being slow. Part of the blame is the pandemic and the various lockdowns people encountered, and...

Re: A bit broken since today's update.
there are still people running the Pi-Star 4.0 release candidate that never made it to a full release, and so my build system has to use an older version of Raspbian to support those guys Out of interest Andy, do these people have a justifiable reason for staying on such an old unreleased version? ...

Re: 502 Bad Gateway
Latest is Pi-Star 4.1.4 so probably another cycle or two of sudo pistar-upgrade should get you to the latest versions and see if the same error occurs then.
Suggest you go to Configuration and then Apply Changes before rebooting.

Re: Patch for upnp syntax
OK Andy, I certainly am no expert in shell syntax but I thought it worth checking.

Re: Patch for upnp syntax
Thanks Andy, I see you've made the variable names a bit more user friendly. One question, are all the $ signs in the daemon commands needed, you seem to have included some of them in the variable definitions. If DAEMON is an environment variable, the $ tells the shell to expand the value. pi-star@p...

Patch for upnp syntax
Some time ago there was a patch added to PiStar that fixed up the syntax used for the upnpc daemon arguments, but it was reversed for some reason and never reappeared. I've been using the following patched version for many months and it works reliably for me so here it is, if you want to put it into...

Re: Persistance issues with iPad
Check when the last time you updated safari on the iPad was, I'll bet it was recently. New iOS came out towards the end of April, apparently iOS 14.7 is due soon too. Each one of these will have unspecified changes to Safari but there could be something to tell you what changed in the release notes...
