Re: MMDVM FW 1.6.0 ??

It covers a fair few bases, but this vid. was posted in the main mmdvm group with the announcement of the newer m17 releases. If its not this video the account also shows using the new client software in use to tx rx a m17 signal. https://youtu.be/_7fs1px2YT0 I will have a look at that, still not s...

Re: MMDVM FW 1.6.0 ??

I was watching a G4KLX talk last night, he mentioned M17 several times and every time said "but there's no hardware". If theres no hardware.... how is anyone doing any testing? And why do all these people want it so badly?? There's always a desire for unobtainium. It's just not ready for ...

Re: MMDVM FW 1.6.0 ??

Note that Andy has merged the commit only, what he has not done is create a release. I was watching a G4KLX talk last night, he mentioned M17 several times and every time said "but there's no hardware". It's just not ready for wide deployment and may well need a faster processor on the MMD...

Re: "No D-Star Network"/"D-Star Net" status red after update

Comparing between a working unit and the problem unit, I found in the ircDDBGateway page, about halfway down at ircddbUsername it was loaded with the default callsign and not mine! I loaded my callsign. Yes, if it detects the default callsign it stops everything from working, as I assume M1ABC is a...

Windows 10 includes SSH from the command line.
I'd forgotten that. Mea culpa.

Re: Can't get to dashboard after 4.1.5 upgrade

Secure shell, SSH, like telnet but encrypted.

If you're using Windows then putty is a program that allows you to ssh to other machines, Google, download, install and you're pretty much there.

I've always found that modem selection causes problems, I suggest you change it to what Jason mentioned up thread and try again.

Re: Should I update ZumSpot FirmWare?

Version 1.3.3 is really old, there have been a lot of fixes and improvements since then.

Version 1.5.2 should install automatically, you need to run the appropriate flash command for a Zumspot after logging in via SSH.

Re: update loop, update fails

Log in using SSH from the Configuration->Expert menu

Now run

rpi-rw

followed by

sudo rm /usr/local/sbin/.git/index.lock

then

sudo pistar-update

Re: Firmware update fails

Do you have the JP1 link open? If you do it needs to be shorted so that the CPU can be put into bootloader mode to accept the new firmware. If that doesn't work it could have locked firmware which requires using an ST-Link programmer and software connected via the ST-Link connector to unlock the CPU...
