Re: Model 8 and Groups.txt and stripped.csv
UPDATE - chmodding stripped.csv got me call signs back, but still no QTHs or TG Info from groups.txt. Just to bring you up to speed: I'm using the 3.5" model 8 dash. I downloaded stripped.csv from the MD380Tools guys (identical in format to an older version posted by Rob in his repo) and groups...

Model 8 screen issue
I've got the Model 8 3.5" and love it. However, the feature that switchesb the IDLE screen and the screen that shows the talking station's info in big letters rarely works. Most of the time I'm stuck on the Idle screen where I can see DMR IDs on the bottoms and sometimes a call, but cant get to...

Model 8 and Groups.txt and stripped.csv
Hi- I'm using a 3.5" Nextion enhanced with the Driver installed and working. I use a Model 8 and want to display user info (e.g.., call, name, qth, country) and TG info (names and numbers). I followed the instructions and uploaded /usr/local/bin and commented out the DRMID file location in MMDV...

Disappearing Nextion Driver
I successfully installed the driver but have found, if I check periodically the Expert MMDVM page, that /Dev/NextionDriver is gone from the appropriate Nextion section field and is replaced with USB or something else. This disables those functions that rely on the driver. I change the variable back ...

Finding and "uploading" alternate screen layouts
Where does one find alternate screen layouts, like the ones I've seen with the larger-sized call signs? And once found, how do you load (for lack of a better term) the layout into the OLED or pi-star?

Re: 1.54" OLED Screen Setup
The displays are available on ebay. They're rectangular, not square like the 0.96" model. I've seen them work. Just don't know how to get it set up on pi-star and how to load alternative layouts.

Dual Nextions on one hotspot: How?
I've seen hotspots set up with dual Nextions - one for the basic info, the other for Last Heards in D-star and DMR. How is this accomplished with pi-star and Pi? Would love to be pointed to instructions on how to do this. Can basic and enhanced screens be mixed for this purpose (ie, I happen to have...

Re: OLED on ZumSpot
Cheers for the diagram! Is there anything I need to do in Pi-Star like set the interface from Modem to something else? Any programming I need to do to get the OLED working? Can the new designs be loaded onto those less-than-one-inch displays, and if so, how? Thanks and sorry for all questions. Great...
