Re: Pi Star change default callsign to QRZ,com

You did scroll down, right?! This feature has been there since at least 2022-04-01. You can verify the entry by issuing the following SSH command; what you're looking for will be at the end of the file: $: cat /etc/pistar-css.ini [Background] Page=edf0f5 Content=ffffff Banners=00004d [Text] Banners=...

Re: Dual Displays ?

If you're trying to connect the Nextion screen via a USB-TTL adapter, that won't work. It has to be connected directly to hat, same as the OLED. And my guess is that the PI thinks that USB is bootable and hence fails.

Re: What Pi-Star "saves" save to what?

As mentioned in a previous thread, my new mobile duplex hotspot thru my Android phone is "mostly" setup. Are you trying to configure your mobile duplex hotspot using only your phone?!?! (You can connect to your second hotspot via your PC - using the hotspot's access point; or you can conn...

Re: Which part of the Full Edit config distinguishes between Simplex and Duplex?

And just wondering: Was the Pi-Star site down last night for a few hours in the US or is my connection "self-healing?" I ask because I couldn't connect my main hotspot to the Pi-Star web site last night, and this morning it was up and running fine - I did nothing to fix it. Your hotspot(s...

Re: Which part of the Full Edit config distinguishes between Simplex and Duplex?

I used the Full Edit on my original Simplex setup. Are you referring to copying THAT and bringing it to the new mobile Duplex setup? No! I'm talking about taking the config file you saved from your simplex hotspot via the the backup/restore selection on the dashboard (and saved on your PC) and putt...

Re: Which part of the Full Edit config distinguishes between Simplex and Duplex?

My original home hotspot is simplex configured to use both Brandmeister and TGIF. I would like that same config ported over to the new mobile hotspot, but not quite sure of next steps. I know I also need some codeplug changes, e.g. separate zones for Duplex operation. Probably the easiest way to ac...

Look at the edit for MMDVMHost, not DMR GW. But, generally, you should not have to edit any time slots at this time.

Re: Don't see option for Modem Type

Ah, you may not be missing anything: the drop-down may simply not appear until other information is entered/applied first. Like you say, it's been awhile - I've forgotten too.

Re: Network Status - DMR Net

Might be easier to simply browse the logs: egrep -e "MMDVM|Opening |Closing | Logged|Login" /var/log/pi-star/MMDVM* The last line should be something like "DMR, Logged into the master successfully". If not, try restarting the host task: sudo systemctl restart mmdvmhost.service Gi...

Re: Network Status - DMR Net

Mostly likely you are losing your Internet connection, even if intermittently: your ISP issues a reset of some sort, the lease on your IP address expires and you get a new address, or your wifi connection drops momentarily because of poor reception, or you have a duplicate IP address somewhere. Most...
