Re: Will a Kenwood NX-P500 work with a hotspot for NXDM?
I know this is an old thread, but I will add something helpful. The Kenwood NX mobiles that are type 2 UHF cover the 70 CM amateur band, Those are a little hard to find and when you do they can be expensive. Some of the type 1's can be programmed below the 450Mhz band limit that are in them but rece...

Libre Computer Board AML-S905X-CC
Has anybody tried these to run Pi-Star and a MMDVM board? With Raspbery Pi's at near unobtanium currently I am looking at these as a sub, but was unsure of the compatibility.

Re: DStarRepeater mode - Icom Radio in Terminal Mode
Make sure your radio is on and the Icom serial cable plugged in to the data port and the USB into the Rpi. Power down the Rpi and when it comes back up you should now be able to chose the Icom terminal mode modem.

Live HF Digital modes sked reflector.
After reading a post on QRZ asking where one could find a DStar or DMR reflector to do live skeds for HF digital modes, and already having this idea in my head, I would invite anyone that is interested in using my DStar reflector for that very purpose to do so. REF277A, and I will show module "...

Re: Pi-star only sees wifi but not computer
Connect your computer to the pistar-setup SSID, when asked for the password it is "raspberry", it may not ask you for a password. Open your web browser and type in 192.168.50.1, that should get you connected to you pi-star so you can configure it to your use.

Re: Icom 92AD
Do you have the RPTR1, and RPTR2 fields set correctly? Rptr1 has to match the callsign and letter designator of you hotspot ie, AK7AN B Rptr2 has to be the the call sign of your hotspot with the "G"(gateway) ie, AK7AN G. Remember both letter designators have to be in the 8th place.. ie, AK...

WOW... Andy you do a great service for the community. Much appreciated from my perspective. One does not realize the work or the expense involved when we fire up our hotspots and radios. The radio manufacturer's owe you a debt of gratitude also. A lot of digital radio equipment sales because now we ...
