Re: essid

I can't offer direct help, but can share one thing that might be a factor: if you make a change in the Expert Editor, and then subsequently make any change on the regular Configuration page, the changes you made in the Expert Editor will be reset (I'm not sure this applies to all changes made in the...

Re: RPi 3 A+ running V4.1.0 RC7

Max operating temp for an RPi is 85 C. While 50 C is warm, it shouldn't be anywhere near the point where the temp causes throttling (that should occur around 80 C). My 3B+ hotspots regularly operate as high as 60 C, with no issues. One reason I like the 3A+ hotspots is that they operate cooler than ...

Re: Powering my Nextion 3.5 scrren

There are two ways I know of to connect a Nextion display: Via a USB to TTL UART CH340G Serial Converter, plugged into the RPI's USB. By connecting to the Serial through-holes on the radio/modem board. In both cases, the connection should provide the power you need, with the exception that some peop...

Re: Jumbospot WiFi issue

There are times that both will connect to my PC via WiFi and there are times when they will not. When they do not, they work in the background (I can communicate on C4FM and DMR with my radios), however I am unable to connect the jumbospots with my PC using the respective IP addresses. To me, this ...

Re: DMR->D-Star issues

I solved the DMR side. I needed to enable the Brandmeister network. Still not able to transmit to the D-Star side. I did register on D-Star. I verified that my call is showing up. FYI, if D-STAR cross modes are important to you, the *************** includes an onboard AMBE chip and can handle hardw...

Re: 4000 activity shows on dashboard when not connected

FYI, I saw an experimental fork of Pi-Star on GitHub yesterday, which includes a fix for the issue with TG 4000 being displayed in the Pi-Star DMR Repeater module after you key it up to disconnect from another talkgroup. With the fix applied, after keying up a group call to TG 4000, the DMR Repeater...

Re: 4000 activity shows on dashboard when not connected

I asked someone who knows more about BrandMeister-related stuff than I do. He said that if you key up a group call to TG 4000 in order to disconnect from another talkgroup, it is normal to then hear other people PTT 4000. When you subsequently key up another TG, it will disconnect TG 4000 and the ne...

Re: MMDVM_HS Hat V 1.5.1b update

I'm guessing you mean the firmware flash command (sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_hat, sudo pistar-mmdvmhshatflash hs_hat-12mhz, etc.)? If that's the case, then I think the MMDVM_HS v1.5.1b firmware would not be available via the regular firmware update command, since it's a pre-release. But if you w...
