Raspberry Pi WiFi

Post by G0ELM »

Hi,
I’m a new user for pi-star using a Pi Zer W with a Jumbospot hat.
On the implementation of pi-star is the pi WiFi disabled from sleeping. From memory the standard desktop pi image has the WiFi going to sleep after inactivity. In the case of using ssh/web sever to access the pi in pi-star I hope this should be disabled from sleeping otherwise I would loose connection when trying to coonect.
Can anyone confirm that WiFi sleeping has been disabled?
The reason why I ask is that my pi has occasionally lost sshbweb connection.
It my be my WiFi although I do have another pi running 24/7 and having disabled WiFi sleeping I have never lost connection for ssh control.
Regards

Just checked my Pi Zero W, uptime is around 2 weeks, its connected on WiFi and still available :)
It really does keep the wifi on.
