It is definitely slower on the Pi Zero, the single core is the main reason.

It's really only the dashboard that's a bit slow on a Zero, but mostly it's not necessary to change pages often.

I imagine the new dashboard will be brilliant when it arrives but this version is more than usable. Interestingly there are a few things where my Pi 2B is slower than the Zeros, like going back to ro mode.
