Thanks for that, Pi-Star was already using the ondemand scheduler, but I had forced the fan to stay running at a level that did make it quite annoying, one of the changes in the most recent image is to tame that quite a lot, its back to variable fan speed so save your ears from the whine.

Tait hardware - yes its good stuff, we do see some of it over here, but its not as easy to get hold of sadly.

I'll get some more testing done when I get up tomorrow, thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.

Exactly because the device ID changes between the uSD and eMMC devices, the tool to move from uSD to eMMC takes care of that on the fly, its why if you push the image directly to eMMC it won't boot.
