If so, there’s nothing wrong with it so don’t panic!
It’s just sleeping.
There’s a “feature” (poorly documented) that shuts off the display when there’s no activity.
You’ll need to add an attribute/value pair in the NextionDriver section of the mmdvmini file:
SleepWhenInactive=0
Then reboot your Pi

Re: Is Your Display Shutting Off?
FYI - I posted this earlier and didn't think to provide the necessary steps to add the settings to the appropriate location.
1. SSH into your Pi-Star system
2. Issue 'rpi-rw' to switch to read/write mode
3. Change to the /etc directory
4. Make a backup copy of the mmdvmhost file in your home directory - 'sudo cp mmdvmhost ~/mmdvmhost'
5. Edit the mmdvmhost file with nano (or other text editor of choice): 'sudo nano mmdvmhost'
6. Find the [NextionDriver] section
7. Add 'SleepWhenInactive=0'
8. CTRL+X to exit and save changes
9. Reboot your Pi-Star system
10. After rebooting, open your browser and connect to Pi-Star. Then go to Configuration -> Expert -> view the MMDVH host file and make sure that the setting is persistent (will not be removed after rebooting the system)
Enjoy!

I still find my display has stopped each morning. Do you have any ideas?
Re: Is Your Display Shutting Off?
Mine started shutting off every night since last Thursday. The Screen says "stopped" "nextion helper". I have to reboot to get it back. Then it is good all day. When I get up the next morning, it is back to stopped.
HELP!
