Can a Nextion display be connected to OLED on MMDVM?

IT seems like someone suggested in a post that the Nextion enhanced display can be connected to the OLED connections and work. I have not been able to find that post.

Is this true? Where would I find guidance on this possibility? Would i work better with the Model 8 layout?

OLEDs are SPI devices, Nextion are Serial - so I cant see how this could work.

I only considered it at the time because the modem was not working well with the Nextion layout I was using. But with recent updates it is all working now through the modem connector.

Oled screen is I2C not SPI!
