Nextion screen - not initializind

I have a Pi3B with a Jumbospot and connect to it is my Nextion NX32224K 024_011. I have uploaded a screen using Nextion Editor. The program loads well and when I restart per instructions, I get a read out that states: “initializing wait” and at the bottom of screen it states “ login to nextion” - I wait but nothing happens. Does not log on to IP address as it indicates it is trying to do. PiStar is set to “ nextion/modem/ON7LDS L3”. The radio/moden is: STM32-DVM/MMDVM_HS-Raspberry pi Hat (GPIO). The screen is soldered to the nextion ports on the lower right of the Jumbspot(hat). I an new to this and live in a small town where I’m the only one who has attempted such with nextion. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you solder the screen tx to the board rx, and screen rx to board tx?

After loading the file did you power all the way down (unplug) and remove the SD card.. (only other thing I can think of)

Did that as well but still indicates IP address: loging into network and hands up at that point. Frustrating to say the least. Going to switch out the hat tomorrow. Who knows?

Try the other ON7LDS levels. One wouldn't show IP on mine, dont remember which..

Thanks for all reply’s. What I did was change out the hat with a new one and rest everything. It fired right up. Must have been a bad board or something. Sure took time to track down and your suggestions are greatly appreciated in my quest to solve the problem

At least now you know it wasn't operator malfunction
