Model 8 and Pi-Star 3.4.16

Post by W9KJO »

Just installed lastest version of Pi-Star.

Does this version need the Nextion Driver Installed for the Model 8 screen layout?

It is not currently installed and gave me an error when I tried to install it.

If it is not needed how do I keep the pi from going into a sleep mode. I think that is what it does when it just stops working and sits there. have to cycle power to reset it.

Thanks for any help or comments

Hi Walter,
N3MNT has answered the part about sleep mode nicely: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1021&hilit=sleep+mode#p4083
After implementing that, see the post two above it: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1021&hilit=sleep+mode#p4076

Thank you for your response and links.

I tried the driver install and the sleep mode adjustment but an error came back saying something like the pistar was not set up for the driver.

I solved this by just using the previous version of pi-star.

Thanks again
