Temperature and other additional fields

Post by SV2GJP »

Did anyone succeed to add the Cpu Temperature and/or other additional fields in Nextion Screen?

That is indeed a nice thing, but think that this is not embedded in MMDVM, but would also like to have this on screen ;-)

Working (testing at the moment ... ) on it

Playing around with all types of hotspots (simplex & duplex) for DMR, YSF/C4FM and D-Star.
Most of them has a Nextion screen ...

Almost out of beta testing. Still adding new code and integrating ideas from testers and moving things around.

See sample shot from Editor: CPU temp, usage and load as disk usage too is on the Model 8 screen layout at www.github.com/PD0DIB.
Also providing a Power Down and Reboot touch-button
The ON7LDS NextionDriver is mandatory, since MMDVMHost isn't providing this info
Read the WiKi fro how-to-install the NextionDriver, see topline of the github reprository => Wiki

I am using the Model 8 Screen on a 3.5" Nextion Enhanced. Connection is via a USB > TTL Device. Pi is a Model 3. Modem Board is a Duplex (Bi7TJA).

On the Idle screen I get the additional info (ie Temp, Disk free, CPU Load etc)
On the DMR Scree I do not get the RSSI or BER for both Time Slots. I get all other data for each Time Slot

I there something I need to do to get the RSSi and BER info to show up ?

My configuration settions:
Display: Nextion
Port: /dev/ttyUSB0
Layout: ON7LDS L3

MMDVMHosts Settings:
Nextion:
Port /dev/ttyUSB0
Brightness 50
DisplayClock 1
UTC 0
ScreenLayout 3
IdleBrightness 30

NextionDriver:
Port /dev/ttyUSB0
LogLevel 2
DataFilesPath /usr/local/etc/
GroupsFile groups.txt
DMRidFile stripped.csv

Appreciate any information.
