Thanks, Ryan, your summary explanation is easier to understand than the detailed readme notes on GitHub. I'm going to link to it.

Glad you find the notes on my site helpful. I have a lot of fun writing them and it helps me understand things better to write about them. (Although sometimes it sure is challenging to try to keep up with Andy! :) )

I made a Github page for the layout files and added instructions on how to wire the screen to the Hot spot Hat in the README.md
I also copied over the instructions from the QRZ page to a file labeled Instructions.md and referred to it in the README.md file

https://github.com/WA6HXG/MMDVM-Nextion-Screen-Layouts
The readme explains what is what.

Any input or ideas for improvement are greatly appreciated!

You are welcome to link to whatever you like. Thanks again!

I just setup my nextion 2.4" using PD0DIB file. I have a zumspot on a pi zero.

Should I be able to see data under the BER field? It is empty and when someone keys up, no data appears in the BER field.

Thx 73

You will see RSSI and BER for “R” or RF transmissions.
For “N” or Network transmissions from the hot spot and not from the network, you will not.
