New Binaries

Post by MW0MWZ »

I have pushed out new versions of most of the G4KLX stack, and the CA6JAU Cross-Mode.

I know a few of you have been waiting for new MMDVMHost for a while, I needed to solve a few minor issues to keep the update as smooth as possible.

The keen eyed among you will notice some new stuff (that the config / dashboard isn't ready for yet) and the even keener eyed of you will notice that the new binaries get smaller - this is mostly due to a new automated build system.

Before anyone gets too excited about the automated build process, no I don't plan to automatically pull / build / test / deploy binaries, I'm not great at the "test" phase of that, having a binary that can be executed at the end of the process isn't enough.

So whats new:
MobileGPS is going away shortly in favour of gpsd, I need to sort out how I will handle that in the dashboard / config, it's on my to-do list.
dg_id Gateway - the binary is there, but I've not really sorted out how Pi-Star will use that yet, in the mean time its there so you can play with it.
M17 Gateway - It's there, not really sure how much you can do with it right now, but it's there for those who want to play with it, host files / updates etc will come along when I get around to it.
MMDVMHost / DMR Gateway - these needed to be updated at the same time, the config / update system already takes care of the issue that was forcing me to hold these back.

Coming Soon:
New ircDDBGateway and associated binaries, just need to check on the changes in those before I push them out, if there isn't a reason to hold it up, I won't hold it up :) - Now done, see below.

Update: D-Star software also updated, ircDDBGateway (and associated binaries) and DStarRepeater.

Looks like there was an issue with some DMR systems, update and visit the config page (and press apply) or update twice in a row to fix them.

There was a separate issue with D-Star, in some situations the MMDVMhost process would fail (after about 60 secs) and the watchdog would restart it.
This only happened when D-Star mode was enabled, and didn't happen on every host - it was a little hard to pin-down, but once I did getting it fixed was simple enough.

Update to receive the new binary.
