Folks,
In my travels I at times find that I am on the repeater which is functioning locally but has no connection to the master. As far as I can see the only way to do a quick test is to dial up the parrot and give it a try.
Seems it would be interesting if there was a way to have a softswitch which would put a tone on the TX indicating that the master was talking to the repeater, perhaps a beep just before the repeater drops, of some time after the user has dropped PTT.
Just an idea to toss out as I do find it frustrating that there is not a way to know if the repeater is actually linked because there is no audible signal to indicate it.
