SUpport for the M17 protocol?

Post by W9fyi »

Folks, is there any chance that support for the new M17 protocol could be added in the next revision of Pistar?

SUpport for the M17 protocol?

Post by IU5BON »

Hello Image

I have a working M17 implementation for the pi-star.

I’ve opened a pull request to discuss it.

This is the PR: https://github.com/AndyTaylorTweet/Pi-S ... h/pull/140

Alessio,

It would seem that I owe you an apology, in discussion with the admin team, we have deleted one or more of your posts discussing M17 (assuming it to be a duplicate), for that I am most certainly sorry. I'm in discussion with the other admins to make sure we avoid that scenario in the future.

Directly in relation to M17, I've only had a brief look at your PR so far (the run up to and through Christmas has been mighty busy), I'll see how much of it we can use and if i need to change much. Thank you for your work, let me assure you I will give it much more attention soon.

In general we avoid discussions on modifications to Pi-Star because supporting modified versions is more than any of the admins have enough time for, again I would point out that we value your efforts here however.

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you need to [email protected]
Andy
