Hi folks,

just a thought: would it be possible to receive APRS (on VHF e.g. 144.800 MHz) native and set-up an i-gate (at least for RX only)?

You could install Direwolf and setup a VHF receiver and USB sound card (Something like the DRA-818V module from SV1AFN would do the job) or an RTL-SDR USB stick if you wanted a receive only igate (I'd recommend going a full igate with the DRA-818V, as that is more helpful to the APRS network)
