Dash board Pass word

Post by KM4UJP »

After much fooling around yesterday I was able to get into the Pi-star dashboard. Then I put in the USID and PW, pi-star, raspberry and got into config

I changed the data to my call sign but was careful not to change the PW.

Since that one time the Dashboard will not accept the U/TXSID and PW.

Does anyone have any idea what to do?

I am about to put this thing up on eBay.

I can see the two little green lights flashing between DMR and D-Star which were my choices.

I changed the RX/TX freq to 433.450, which is an unused simples freq on my TYT-390.

When I key up the radio the little green lights stop flashing and stay on DMR for a while.

I have never heard any audio back, which makes me think I have some config wrong. But not being able to get in and fiddle around to try to diagnose the problem is making me insane.

Any help would be appreciated.

Where exactly did you change the data to your call sign?
  • The user name for signing into Pi-Star Admin is always pi-star. At this time, the user name can't be changed.
  • The password used for signing into Pi-Star Admin (by default, raspberry) depends on what you enter in the Remote Access Password section. You can change this password.
  • The URL for accessing Pi-Star via a browser uses the Hostname (by default, pi-star: http://pi-star/ for Windows and http://pi-star.local/ for macOS etc.). You can change the Hostname in the General Configuration section.
People who run multiple hotspots change the Hostname in order to be able to access a specific hotspot. For example, I have a hotspot base unit (Hostname = pi-star-base) and a hotspot mobile unit (Hostname = pi-star-mobile). So when I access Pi-Star via my Mac browser, I use http://pi-star-base.local/ for the base unit, or http://pi-star-mobile.local/ for the mobile unit. But in both cases, when I want to then access Pi-Star Admin (including the Configuration page), the user name is still pi-star.

I reformatted the SD card and re-etched it. Made a new wpa_ file and now I can connect to the Zumspot.
