2-Digit Brandmeister Suffix

Post by KM7KK »

When saving my Brandmeister ID plus a two digit suffix, only my seven digit appears. The two additional digits are truncated. I am using a DVMEGA and Pi-Star RPi V3.4.17.

On the main configuration page in the dashboard you only enter your 7 digit DMR ID in the CCS7/DMR ID field.

In the DMR settings of the dashboard when you have BM selected, in the field DMR ESSID you specify only the digits to extend your DMR ID.

You don't enter 8 or 9 digits in one field.

You should immediately update to 4.1.x by downloading and reimaging your SD card, as in 3.4.17 the OS has reached its end of life and is no longer being maintained or updated.
If someones previous actions are any indication of their future actions, then I predict the deletion and removal of access will happen at any moment. 7-11-2020.

Sure, open the dashboard, go to the configuration page and put your mouse cursor over the text DMR ESSID: when you have a BM master selected.

All of the fields on the dashboard have a short explanation of that they are.

There should also be a notice at the top of your dashboard notifying you that you should upgrade to 4.1.X.

If you feel there is a lack of documentation or instructions then by all means help out and create it.

Please, have a look to point 5d at:

https://amateurradionotes.com/pi-star.htm#dmrconfig

I may suggest you to SET ANY VALUE rather but NONE or "twin numbers" (11, 22, 33...) 'cause those numbers are considered DVSwitch by BM.
