DMRGateway Slot1 not working

Post by M6NBP »

When I set GB7BC Repeater to DMRgateway.
Slot 1 will not let any Talk groups into the network on Slot 1
When I turn DMRgateway off it all works as it should.

Am I missing a setting?

Only set to run DMR BM. All others is turned off on DMRGatway.

The out of the box config for DMRGateway is setup for simplex hotspots (so TS2 only) - you will need to tune it to your needs to use DMRGateway on a repeater.

Have a look here: https://github.com/g4klx/DMRGateway/wiki/Rewrite-Rules

Hi
When I add TGRewrite=1,23510,1,23510,1 and go back and look it is missing
I tried adding by ssh also and again it goes missing.

All I need for now on slot 1 is TG9 Local and TG23510

I also see no option to turn on as a Repeater

I got it working

[DMR Network 1]
Enabled=1
Address=87.117.229.173
Port=62031
TGRewrite=2,9,2,9,1
PCRewrite=2,94000,2,4000,1001
TypeRewrite=2,9990,2,9990
SrcRewrite=2,4000,2,9,1001
PassAllPC=1
PassAllTG=1
Password="passw1rd"
Debug=0
Name=BM_United_Kingdom_2341

I changed the 2 to 1

It will not let me add
PassAllPC=2
PassAllTG=2

Only seams to let you have one or the other.
But both slots seam to be working ok

Downside is if I add DMR+ or XLX then them rules no longer work
But I have no intention to offer either modes

Are you running a simplex or duplex hotspot? Simplex hotspots typically use time slot 2.

The heading post says he's running a repeater. so I'm guessing he would have both TS available to his userbase.

As Andy replied earlier the pistar config is setup for simplex hotspot use. So repeater keepers (and those of us running duplex hotspots) will need to make alteration to rewrite dmrgateway rules.

Yeah, I saw that, but I was just double checking because he said:
It will not let me add
PassAllPC=2
PassAllTG=2
And I've seen other posts in the forum sharing exactly how to add PassAllPC=2 and PassAllTG=2 for repeaters and duplex hotspots.

P.S. I still think the forum could benefit from a couple new categories: one for repeater operators and one for advanced Pi-Star modding.

Yes, a repeater sysops or repeater keepers / repeater users section might be a good idea.

Not sure re: pistar hacks

I'll pass ur suggestions onto the other group mods, and we'll see what the general consensus is.
